Just your seasonal reminder that some of the most cost effective compost and mulch in Horry County can be found at the Horry County Solid Waste Authority. We have past year's receipts for a truck bed full of mulch and of compost, just over $20 for both. Make sure you visit HC SWA's Residential Page Here to learn more about their products and availability. Be sure to call before you go and verify availability and their schedule, the best number is 843-347-1651. They offer compost, natural mulch, colored mulch, and a glass aggregate product.
Go prepared! You'll need to make sure you have proper covering and base for your load, and be able to weigh down your covering. You go to the weigh station first and check in, collect your materials, then go back to the weigh station to pay.
